De 2 eigenaren van Pol Industrial Movements: Sander Pol en Luke Pol

Securely house a new or used press brake, position it exactly and get it ready for use quickly: that's what you hire us for. At Pol Industrial Movements, we combine lifting, transport and (dis) assembly into one tightly regulated process. This way, we keep your downtime short and you know exactly where you stand. Installing press brakes is specialist work; we do it every day, in the Netherlands and beyond.

What is press brake installation and why is it a specialist job?

A press brake (press brake/press brake) often weighs many tons, places high demands on the foundation and requires precise alignment. Placing means more than just putting it down. It includes housing, levels, anchoring, connecting and a safety check. Every detail counts: a millimetre of misalignment can affect product quality and cause unnecessary wear and tear. That's why we focus on preparation, safety and predictability, with one project manager who coordinates everything.

How do we install your press brake step by step?

  • Recording and engineering: we carry out a site survey, check the route, floor capacity and foundation, make a lifting plan and coordinate with your EHS and schedule.
  • Unloading and warehousing: controlled unloading, internal transport with skates or transport carriers and protection of floors and infrastructure.
  • Hoisting and positioning: outside with a truck-mounted crane, inside with compact (electric) mini cranes for millimetre precision in tight spaces.
  • Alignment and anchoring: accurately level and anchoring in accordance with the anchor plan and the surface.
  • Connections and safety check: connect electrics/hydraulics/compressed air in consultation with your technical service, plus inspection of protections such as light curtains and fences in accordance with the press bench safety standard EN 12622 (EN 12622) - safety standard.
  • Testing and transfer: test run, final inspection and transfer of documentation within the CE frameworks of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC; note that this will be followed by the new Machinery Regulation 2023/1230 from 20 January 2027 (EUR‑Lex Machinery Directive).
  • Planning for minimal downtime: execution on weekends or evenings is possible so that your production continues.
Tip: Is there a need for internal lifting capacity or do you want to expand your facility? Read how we also install and integrate an overhead crane > Install an overhead crane.

What kind of preparation is needed at your location? Good preparation saves time and costs. Use the checklist below to quickly see if your location is ready.

  • Foundation and floor load For many models, manufacturers recommend a reinforced concrete floor of approximately 200 mm and free all-round access; the exact requirements vary by brand and type. Always consult the manufacturer. For example, see the TRUMPF installation information.
  • Access and internal route Control door widths, clear height, aisles, and curves. Report obstacles in time and we will plan customized solutions.
  • Utilities and peripherals Provide the correct electrical supply, compressed air and any hydraulics. Place control cabinets and shields where necessary.
  • Permits and safety We arrange work permits, lifting plans and LMRA in coordination with your EHS. We work in accordance with EN 12622 and within the CE frameworks of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC (EUR‑Lex Machinery Directive), https://eur-lex.europa.eu/summary/SR/l21001).
  • Documentation Send us drawings, machine weights/dimensions, anchor plan, photos of the route and the desired delivery date. Is it about a larger line? Then we will also arrange dismantling and reassignment (Dismantling factory lines).

Which press brakes do we install? We are brand-independent and install both new and used press brakes in all current capacities and dimensions. Whether it's a stand-alone press brake or a machine within a production line, we tailor planning and lifting equipment to your situation. We work a lot with brands such as TRUMPF, Amada, Bystronic, LVD, SafanDarley and Durma. Are you combining the project with other machines? Then we cleverly link this into the planning of your line (Install CNC machines).

What does it cost to install a press brake and how fast can it be done?

The price and lead time depend on:

  • Weight and dimensions of the press brake
  • Accessibility (in/out route, tight passageways)
  • Foundation and anchoring method
  • Required lifting equipment and permits
  • Distance and logistics (external and internal)
  • Extra services such as packaging, storage or disposal

What we need from you for a quote:

  • Technical data (brand/type, weight, dimensions)
  • Drawings and photos of the location and route
  • Preferred schedule and standstill window
  • Information about foundations and utilities
Does the installation go hand in hand with an internal move or a complete redesign of your hall? Then a turnkey approach is often faster and cheaper > Industrial removals.

Why Pol Industrial Movements?

  • European employability: we work in the Netherlands and beyond, with short lines of planning and execution.
  • Safe and standards-oriented: working in accordance with EN 12622 for press brakes and within the CE frameworks of the Machinery Directive (EN 12622) — safety standard, https://webstore.ansi.org/standards/sis/ssen126222009; EUR‑Lex Machinery Directive, https://eur-lex.europa.eu/summary/SR/l21001).
  • Minimal downtime: weekend or evening phasing and just-in-time logistics keep your production up and running.

Frequently asked questions about installing press brakes

  • Does my press brake always have to be anchored? That depends on the brand, the tonnage, the forces and the floor. We advise based on the manufacturer's anchor plan and on-site recording. This keeps the machine stable and accurate.
  • How thick should my floor be and how much free space is needed? Always follow the manufacturer's guidelines. As an example, TRUMPF provides 200 mm reinforced concrete and free all-round access for specific models; the exact requirements vary by machine (TRUMPF — installation requirements, https://www.trumpf.com/en_US/landing-pages/us/trubend-2100/installation/).
  • Can you also place on the weekend or at night? Yes. We regularly schedule weekends or evenings to reduce downtime. We will coordinate this with your team in time.
  • Do you arrange electricity, hydraulics and peripherals? We coordinate this with your technical department and partners. We check connections and safety features upon delivery.
  • Do you also move entire production lines? Sure. We dismantle, move and relocate lines including peripherals and integration (Dismantling factory lines).
